Our Youth Involvement Forums are a way for young people to get involved in conversations about issues that really matter to them. Forums are developed by Young People and members are nurtured and supported by CEF Lyncx during the formative stage, to help develop the confidence and skills they need to lead, participate, and contribute effectively to issues unique to the context in which they are growing up.

To qualify to join, young people need to be aged between 11 and 19 years old and resident on the participating housing estate working with CEF Lyncx.

Forum meetings are usually held bi-monthly, on a day agreed with the young people and run for up to 2 hours, between 5pm and 7pm, either virtually or at the community centre, depending on what the agreement is.  Often, a takeaway pizza or similar is brought in at the end of the meeting, which is a source of great joy for all.

Roupell Park has just been awarded £2k from the Ubele Initiative - Bayo Foundation, for delivering workshops targeted at young girls who are 16+ , and primarily of  BME communities. This is all to do with empowering the young girls who we engage with, to help them fully develop their potential and confidence.  We look forward to reporting on the results of this project next year.
